Female Workout Routines for Better Health
Female workout routines are widely
available on the internet. Most are obtainable for free or for
a very small fee.
These routines generally differ from male workout routines
by the focus of the workout. Females tend to want to lose
excess weight, tone muscle, and strengthen the core muscle
group; whereas, men concentrate on building muscle bulk.
Female workout routines are also available through gyms or
special women only workout clubs. Some gyms are for females
only and some have workout areas that are for women only. There
are workout clubs that are for women only and have a circuit
(or routine) that women are cycled through. The amount of time
spent at each machine is the same even if the specific exercise
may differ for each woman.
What type of exercise routine should you follow if
you desire to lose weight?
If your goal for exercise is strictly to lose weight, what
type of exercise should you do? A combination of aerobic
(running, swimming, walking, vacuuming, etc) and anaerobic
(weight training or resistance) exercise is the key for weight
lose. The aerobic exercise tones muscle, burns calories, and
strengthens the heart. The anaerobic exercise (specifically
weight training) helps to build the muscles and increase
metabolism as a result.
What are some of the health issues that benefit from
exercise?
Bone health is an important female concern. One of the most
critical preventative measures a woman can take to preserve her
bone mass is to build strong muscles through exercise. The
female workout routines available generally provide exercises
that will allow a woman to strengthen her muscles to build
strong bones. These exercises generally are weight training
based but all exercise is helpful.
Another issue that faces women that can be alleviated by
exercise is a reduced self esteem. Exercise increases
endorphins giving an overall feeling of well-being. Also,
exercise helps to reduce weight making the woman feel more
confident in her skin. Lastly, confidence helps to boost self
esteem through the general sense of accomplishment after a
workout.
The number one killer of women is heart disease. Aerobic
exercises such as biking, hiking, running, walking, swimming,
and jump roping are all good for the heart. These types of
exercises raise the heart rate causing the heart to work harder
thereby strengthening the heart muscle. Make sure you talk to
your health provider before you start a new workout.
Of course, if you are planning on becoming pregnant, are
pregnant, or have just had a baby, exercise can be totally
beneficial. If you are planning on becoming pregnant or are
pregnant, exercise can help you maintain a healthy weight and
can help establish a healthy environment for the baby with the
increase in oxygen from exercise. If you have just had a baby,
the obvious benefit of exercise is to bring the body back into
a more recognizable form. Since everything changes during
pregnancy, exercise helps to change things back.
Female health concerns are many and varied. To provide a
framework for consistent exercise and to specifically
concentrate on these health issues, female workout
routines have been utilized very effectively.
